On the eve of the Los Angeles auto show, Volkswagen presented another Studio model of the ID family. ID. SPACE VIZZION is equipped exclusively with an electric drive. The design and shapes of this model are developed in a completely new way. Very characteristic is the front part of the body with holes for air passage, thanks to it, the car has a coefficient of air resistance of 0.24. ID. The SPACE VIZZION has the aerodynamic characteristics of Gran Turismo cars and at the same time a spacious interior like an SUV, which makes Volkswagen define a completely new car segment.
"In the era of electric mobility, the new ID. SPACE VIZZION brings versatility and top quality," said Klaus Bischoff, Volkswagen's chief stylist.
The Studio model was based on the MEB modular platform developed by Volkswagen. The 82 kWh battery allows the car to travel up to 590 km (via WLTP). Thanks to the system power transmission (4MOTION) 250 kW ID. SPACE VIZZION accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.
Electric cars don't have a radiator, they also don't need a lot of space to put the engine in them. Stylists and designers of ID. SPACE VIZZION used this space to create a body that will stand out with excellent aerodynamic properties, which, in turn, will increase the range of the car.
